Don't let Shaytaan change your desires, Jannah is our ultimate desire!

الحمد لله وصلى الله على نبينا محمد وآله وصحبه وسلم

There are two evil things which are continuously pushing us forward towards the Hell-fire (جهنم), that is a person’s own evil inclination (رغبة) and Shaytaan (Satan). Every person has these two things with him/her. No one can claim that he is free from any one of them, as (رسول الله (صلى الله عليه و سلم told us that every human being (male and female) has a Shaytaan with him/her. He was asked, do you also have a Shaytaan? He (صلى الله عليه و سلم) said, yes, but I have control over him; means his Shaytaan cannot make him to commit wrong because he has overpowered his Shaytaan. When Shaytaan attacks a person, his desires (رغبة) begin to change, then both try to overpower him. When a person is overpowered by either one of them or both of them, he/she becomes their slave until he/she dies in that state (العياذ بالله).

When a person goes far away from the pleasure of Allaah and all he becomes concerned is the fulfillment of his pleasures, then his supplications are not answered. And سبحان الله when an immediate need of supplication arrives, that time he regrets and remembers his mistakes but he comes back empty handed. That’s why when a person remembers Allaah, it should not be just out of his needs, it should be out of love, respect, fear and hope, otherwise there remains no difference between the idolaters who worship their idols only that time when they want something from them. And when a person remembers Allaah in hope of Jannah and the fear of Hell-fire, He takes care of His slave’s genuine needs. I ask Allaah to count us among His righteous slaves!
